About the Program

Future Classics is a new scholarship program for young Polish classical musicians aged 18–25, created by the Polish National Foundation in cooperation with the Julian Cochran Foundation.

As part of the program, 15 of the most talented instrumentalists and vocalists receive comprehensive financial, mentoring, and promotional support with a total value exceeding half a million PLN. The program also includes scholarship concerts in Warsaw and New York, promoting a new generation of Polish artists on the international stage.

As part of the program, the 15 scholarship recipients receive comprehensive support, including:

  • a financial scholarship of PLN 30,000 net,

  • artistic and managerial mentoring,

  • international networking opportunities,

  • communication training delivered by one of the leading PR agencies in the classical music industry in the United States,

  • scholarship concerts in Warsaw and New York.

The total value of the support provided exceeds half a million PLN and includes access to international experts, professional promotional tools, and an environment designed to support the development of young artists’ careers.

The program stands out for its innovative approach to candidate selection. In addition to artistic excellence, it also evaluates each applicant’s career vision and development strategy.

The selection process consists of two stages. In the first stage, candidates present a business plan for their artistic career, outlining their professional vision and how they intend to use the scholarship. Applications are assessed by representatives from the fields of business and cultural management.

Up to 48 artists are qualified for the second stage, where they submit video recordings of their performances. Based on these submissions, an international jury of music experts evaluates artistic level and selects the 15 scholarship recipients.

This selection model is designed to identify artists who, in addition to exceptional talent, also demonstrate a clear vision for their careers and the ability to build their presence in the international cultural market.

The program concludes with scholarship concerts in Warsaw and New York, becoming a defining moment in the journey of its artists—an opportunity to present a new generation of Polish talent to the world and to let Polish culture resonate more widely on the international stage.
