Scholarship recipients

Born in 2008, she began her musical journey at the age of four at the Suzuki Institute of Music in Gdańsk, under the supervision of Anna Podhajska. Since 2024, she has continued her studies at the Purcell School for Young Musicians, the oldest music school in the UK.

 

In 2024, Julia received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage's Young Poland program. For her artistic achievements, she was also honored with local cultural awards: the Wings of Culture and the Remus Award. That same year, she won the Grand Prix of the ATMA National Musical Personalities Competition.

 

She honed her skills under the guidance of outstanding professors, being selected three times in an international selection process for the elite Morningside Music Bridge program for young virtuosos in Boston (USA) in 2023–2025, where she also served as concertmaster.

 

In 2025, she made her debut as a soloist at London's Wigmore Hall during the celebrations commemorating the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel's birth, and subsequently returned there as a chamber musician as part of the Chamber Soloist Series. In 2026, she made her debut with the symphony orchestra at Cadogan Hall in London, performing Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Violin Concerto in D major.

 

She is currently one of eight quarter-finalists in the prestigious BBC Young Musician 2026 music competition in the UK, the next stage of which will take place in July.

Thanks to the support of the J&A Beare International Violin Society in London, Julia plays an 1851 Jean Baptiste Vuillaume violin.
