Filip Krzeszowiec
Born in 2004, he began his cello studies with Paweł Głombik and continued with Adam Krzeszowiec and Arkadiusz Dobrowolski. He honed his skills with teachers such as Mischa Maisky, Frans Helmerson, Istvan Vardai, Mats Lidström, Kazimierz Michalik, Stanisław Firlej, Andrzej Bauer, Roman Jabłoński, and Roberto Trainini.
He made his recital debut at the Conservatorium in Piacenza in 2019. Since then, he has performed as a soloist with the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, the Szent Istvan Philharmonic in Budapest, the Jaworzno Chamber Orchestra, the Archetti Radom Chamber Orchestra, and the Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra.
He has performed at festivals such as the Poznań Music Spring, the International Festival of Young Laureates of Music Competitions in Košice, the Trzy-Czte-Ry Festival in Warsaw, the Young Arts Festival in Krosno, the Jan Stanienda Chamber Music Festival "Evenings at the Arsenal" in Wrocław, the International Karol Szymanowski Music Festival in Zakopane, the Ars Montana Chamber Music Festival in Szczyrk, the Hanna Stanienda Otwock Music Festival, the ENSEMBLE International Chamber Music Festival in Radziejowice, the Piła Festival & Academy, the CIDNAY International Masterclass & Festival in Santo Tirso, Portugal, and the Holland Music Sessions in Bergen.
He is a laureate of numerous national and international cello competitions, including first prizes at the Michał Spisak International Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza, the Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition, the Jan Vychitil International Cello Competition in Prague, the Talents for Europe International Competition in Dolny Kubin, the Kazimierz Wiłkomirski Youth International Cello Competition in Poznań, and the Bach Solo International Cello Competition in Poznań.
He has received scholarships from the CEA and the National Children's Fund. In 2021, he was a laureate of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage's Young Poland Scholarship Program. He received a scholarship from the Hans and Eugenia Jütting Foundation (2023) and an artistic scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2024).
He took part in the recording of a CD with music by Hungarian composers, Project Hungarica 2 (CD Accord), which included his performance of Gyorgy Ligeti's Sonata for Solo Cello.
He is currently a student of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, in the cello class of Aleksander Gebert, and of the Pernoo School of Musical Performance in Paris, in the class of Jérôme Pernoo.
